He has a big task ahead of him as the list of families in need has grown to 875 families and seniors this year. Following are a few details on how you can help.

Make a Donation. Sign Up to Volunteer.

SANTA’S WISH LIST

Donations – With the increase in costs and the number of people we help, we will need more money than ever to bring the holidays to 3,800 people. Please consider increasing your contribution by 25%.

Drivers – We need 225 elves to make deliveries to families on Christmas Eve morning. There will be four shifts starting at 8:30 AM.

Turkey cookers – We have 7 tons of turkey to cook! Pick-up and drop-off will take place at Wegman’s of Hunt Valley this year starting Dec. 19th. Instructions for cooking are provided.

Gift Wrappers – There will be thousands of toys and goodies to wrap. Wrapping will take place on Dec. 17th & 18th. Choose either the 10 am-1 pm shift or 2 pm –5 pm.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO GET MORE ELVES INVOLVED

Spread the word. Talk to your friends, relatives, and business associates.

If you are a member of a school, religious or community organization, get them involved. We will be glad to meet with them for a short presentation about Santa’s Helpers and discuss how they can help.

Know of a favorite restaurant, or caterer that could cook turkeys? Introduce us and we will do the rest.

Have them visit our website, www.santashelpersanonymous.org, or call us directly.

S. Chambers Foundation, Brooks Huff, Sam’s Club, Big Huge Games, and Wells Fargo Bank for their tremendous financial support and to Dr. Brenda Richardson, DDS for contributing 3,500 toothbrushes.

Shopper’s Warehouse (especially Tom and his meat department); Bed, Bath and Beyond, Dick’s Sporting Goods, H & S Bakery for all the rolls, Cloverland Dairy for 200 gallons of milk, Under Armor for clothing, Indusco Enterprises for their manpower support, Hightopps Backstage Grill for providing coffee for our sleigh drivers, and Ziger/Snead Architects for help with our printing.

Our “turkey cookers extraordinaire” – Aramark at M & T Stadium, Ashland Café, Bluestone Restaurant, The Bowman Restaurant and Pub, Chef’s Expressions Caterers, Chestnut Ridge Country Club, Chop’s Restaurant and Lounge, Dogwoood Café, Fazzini’s Italian Kitchen, Gertrude’s at the BMA, Helping up Mission, The Johns Hopkins Club, M & S Grill, McCormick and Company, McCormick and Schmick Seafood Restaurant, The Grille at Peerces, Pier 5 Hotel, Riverwatch Restaurant and Marina, Roy’s of Baltimore, Salt Tavern, Savory Grill, and Shuckers of Fells Point.

A & A Global for the use of the warehouse, Patrick Payne from BTR, Brian Adolph of Ray’s Truck Rental, Michael Hoffberger of Hoffberger Moving Services for the trucks, again to St. James Academy, Jacksonville Outreach and Seton Keogh for their successful toy drives on Santa’s behalf.

The indescribable “A” team – our behind the scenes warehouse crew – there are not enough words. You are the backbone of this volunteer organization. And to all of those hundreds of you who supported our program. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

BREAKING NEWS FOR 2011

We have been informed that we will no longer receive major grant support which has helped financed our program for the last 6 years. We will need to raise $100,000 in monetary donations to fund our goal of bringing holiday pleasure to 875 families in 2011. We also need a new grocery store since, regrettably, Shopper’s Warehouse is closing its Padonia Rd. location which has provided needed space for our tons of turkey. Ideas? Contact us.
